Debt of Hope Update – October 2024

By hope

This month is pretty much a wash since the bulk of the money I would have paid off debt will be going to Princess Dental Surgery. I use CC for a fee. I paid the amount at the beginning of the month, but I will max it out with the surgery.

Therefore, the card will not be paid until next month.

I made some extra money this month on a side project. (It was supposed to come last month.) I put that into my personal loan. Other than that, there’s not much to report about your debt journey this month.

Upcoming goals

After I finally pay off the Frontier CC next month (November), I plan on dealing with a personal loan next. I realize that USAA CC is still high and interest is accumulating. But it would be nice to pay my parents and start the new year with the only credit card debt left.

Quiet, focused months ahead

Other than the family trip to Texas for Thanksgiving, I’m anticipating very quiet and focused months ahead. As of this posting, none of the boys will be coming to Georgia for Christmas. The girls have their own dorms now, so it will be very simple. I work on planning home projects on the weekends in anticipation of putting the house on the market in the new year. I think it will happen in March now.

I also plan to meet with a few real estate agents over the next month to determine what projects to take on and what to avoid. This will definitely impact the budget over the next couple of months especially when I know what I can do myself and what I will need help with.

Are there any tips from the BAD community for selling a house?
