I got an extra $1000
I answered a Facebook inquiry in a local community group from a small business owner who wanted to rebrand his business. The next day, I got a contract to develop a simple small business website for $1,000 over the next three weeks.
Yes. Sometimes, it’s that easy. Complete this website next week and then…get an additional $1k in debt paid. Well, roughly a thousand dollars, I have to deduct about $100 that I paid a contractor to do some graphic work for me, and then taxes of course. But either way, more debt.
So this month won’t be a complete wash of princess dental surgery.
I think I need to go back to trolling Facebook groups for work. This kind of focused and simple side hustle can really help me accelerate my plans.
Or perhaps an email campaign to old clients to either get new business from them or referrals to their network?
The challenge is making time for them alongside my full-time job. But I think with no real life, weekends lend themselves to this kind of side hustle.
I have 5 weeks before I fly back to Texas. Maybe I should challenge myself to pick up one or two side projects during that time.
With nothing but time over the coming weeks, this is the time to put my head down and get to work!
Side note: Beauty has moved on today. (Rather the day I’m writing this post.) I’ll be back in GA tomorrow, or at least start the return trip. There is damage and loss to be dealt with from Helen. But it is not extensive. At least from what I’ve heard and hope. But maybe I lost my refrigerator. Someone came out when Beauty noticed it and it wasn’t fixed. So I asked Beauty to empty it (we lost all the food due to the long power outage) and unplug it for now.
