Seriously, again…hardware headaches
And when things are going smoothly, something breaks. This time it’s my washing machine.
Apparently the sensor on the lid is broken, so the washer doesn’t recognize that it’s off, so it won’t wash the clothes. It’s been down for two weeks now. (I wasn’t able to really work on the problem during my trip to Texas last week.)
Fortunately, the appliance repair guy who fixed my ice maker a year or so ago was able to come out today and take a look at it. Unfortunately, the part had to be ordered, and there was no override to lock the lid to wash me. So no washing machine yet.
But hopefully, by the end of the week, we’ll be doing our laundry again.
It will only cost me $306. Just, oh!
I’m so grateful I have the money to repair. I’m grateful it’s fixable. But man, that’s a real cost to replace the sensor. But the pressure it takes off my shoulders is enormous.
Hopefully, by the end of the week, we will have clean clothes, towels and sheets again. Otherwise, I’m going to have to make time this weekend to go to the laundromat.
The good news is that I did the laundry before it broke. Then again in Texas. So I can keep going until our washing machine is fixed. I realize this is a completely first world problem. Just a lot of things to be grateful for.
