New Clothes Needed – Blogging Away From Debt Blogging Away From Debt

“Business casual” “High rise” is the description my boss gave me this week when talking to me about my clothing since the weather has gotten warmer. (Via text message).
And I had to accept that my “summer” wardrobe for work was out of stock. The colder months were good as I had 4-5 good jackets that I just wore. I have 4 pairs of the same pants that I rotate through. But shirts…well, I’ve lived in tank tops for the past several years. T-shirts are not acceptable, I agree, in a fast food restaurant.
I’ve been looking for a short-sleeve shawl of some sort so that I can layer up, i.e. cover my tank tops, and make it passable. But all I find are swimsuit covers and they are not correct.
So, last week, we had to do a mid-week tour WalmartI found a solution for $11!
Although I prefer not to wear a dress to work, this will comfort me for a while and give me time to find an acceptable “shawl.” (I’m only there for 2-4 hours, 3-4 days a week. I don’t mind wearing this thing for days in a row.)
Best of all, after work on Friday, I changed into my shoes, added some jewelry, and got ready for a night out. (in the picture.)
I avoid buying clothes unless absolutely necessary. I am completely satisfied with the wardrobe I have. We’ve been keeping it minimal since we moved from our house to a 900 square foot apartment, then to a camper several years ago. And of course I am the queen of cleansing!
